Watershed Flood Zone — South Frontenac

Two examples of flooding near the crossing of MacGillivray Road and the Cataraqui Trail. The confluence of the creek from Hinge Lake and the Cataraqui Trail railway ditch creates a frequent flood zone, with major washouts in 1986, 2002, 2013, and 2019. Water flows onward to Stonehouse Lake, Opinicon Lake, and the Rideau Canal. These are waterways, not ditches.
